This event is held to help bring in new members. It is encouraged to bring a friend and come to our Galentine’s Event! Food, drinks, and games provided. More details for the 2027 event to come.
In April is our Achievement Banquet. We want to recognize and celebrate all the hard work our homemakers do during the year. Come enjoy a meal together and celebrate!
Attend our Crafting for a Cure event! Pay for a table and craft all day with friends. Dinner provided. We encourage you to bring snacks and drinks to share through the day. We host a raffle, chinese auction, “Yard Sale,” and other games. All Profits go to the Indiana Extension Homemakers Cancer Research Endowment at the Purdue Cancer Research Center. More information on costs and RSVP in the Flyer attached.
An initiative of the Associated Country Women of the World and sponsored by the Vanderburgh County Extension Homemakers Association. Everyone is welcome! Come out and meet with us to walk on April 29th.
IEHA Annual Conference
Everyone is welcome to attend the Indiana Extension Homemakers Association Annual Conference. It is a great opportunity to celebrate accomplishments from the past year and look forward to whatt events are coming up. We have applications available to apply to cover the costs of attendance. Find these under “County Forms & Links.” The location changes year to year.
Dip Contest @ Vanderburgh County Fair
A contest during the Vanderburgh County Fair where people show off their creativity via Dips! A savory, sweet, and people’s choice awards were given out. Watch out for more information on what is held for 2027!
The last full weekend in September is our Fine Arts and Crafts show. Come out and shop! We are always looking for volunteers, watch the scribbles for sign ups! More information for vendors and shoppers can be found under the “Fine Arts & Craft Show” tab on the top.
Evansville’s Fall District Meeting is September 30th. Cost is $5 and $4 for 65+. We are recognizing and exploring Southwestern Indiana’s role in the Network to Freedom. Lyle’s Station tours begin @ 3:00pm. See flyer attached for more details. RSVP by September 16th.
Join us this October for a Family Game Day. Bring your family and games to play! We will have prizes, raffles, snacks, and a costume contest! Entry fee: games to donate to St. Vincent Pediatrics.
Leisure Arts Lessons
Homemakers host monthly Leisure Arts Lessons. These lesson range from crafting, sewing, home care, health, etc. Our goal is to have you walk away with new knowledge and skills. RSVP to Marva. Look for more information in the scribbles on when/what/where.
Open Class Fashion Revue
Every year, leading up to the Vanderburgh County Fair, is the Fashion Revue. Homemakers proudly host this style show, where you can see the hard work and fashion of the contestants. Individuals, Families, and Clubs participate and make creative and stylish outfits.
